A Length of Open Weave Boro Hemp: Mosquito Netting

This is a handsome and wonderful length of boro, rustic, over-dyed indigo hemp cloth.  This is a panel from a kaya or mosquito netting, hence the very loose, open weave of the cloth.

The color is a deep green; the hemp yarns are wiry.

There are four patches applied to this boro length which is composed of two pieces that have been hand stitched together.  

This is a really lovely length of old, hemp boro kaya with very good patching and lots of character--and it looks wonderful back lit because the patches really show beautifully with light streaming through it.
