This is a simply designed--and quite long--length of hand woven striped cotton. It was taken from a futon cover.
The design is bold and straightforward and it is based in indigo. There are three tones of indigo present and a kind of mocha or ochre colored pair of warp-based stripes.
The surface is worn but not too hard and there are a few small snags of the type seen on the lead photo here.
Very handsome and very well woven, more than likely of hand spun cotton.
