A Length of Katzome Dyed Cotton: Three Different Chrysanthemums

This is a length of indigo dyed cotton katazome cloth that shows a luscious pattern of very full, chrysanthemums which are of three different types.

The pattern itself is full and vibrant, the rendering of chrysanthemums is obviously richly detailed and despite being highly stylized the depiction of the flowers is well-observed.

The indigo dye is slightly dulled and a bit faded with time. The condition of the length is good and used which is to be expected from a length of cloth that is over 100 years old.

This is a good length showing a rich design--and has striking visual allure.
