This is a length of cotton mesh that has been imprinted with a repeat design of the tea berry: the pattern was dyed onto the cloth either using a stencil resist technique or a discharge method.

The tea berry motif is seen here in animated pairs that are arranged on regularly spaced rows set on the diagonal. They are depicted in such a way as to give the impression they are illuminated or glowing.

A delightful length of translucent cloth.
