A Faded Length of Beautifully Toned Katazome: Hand Spun Cotton Cloth

One of the most notable things about this length of cotton cloth is its beautifully soft hand spun cotton yarn. It is a type of cotton that suggests this length has good age, more than likely dating to the mid-nineteenth century.

The pattern is faded and therefore it has a soulfulness that is impossible to have if the pattern was bright and new. The design is sort of Indian inspired with its leafy arabesques and its stylized blooms.

The length is in good, used condition with overall fading and spot or two of staining, small.
