A Pair of Mid Century Tabi: Cherry Blossom Motif

$55.00 USD

mid to late twentieth century
each: L: 9" x W: 4" x H: 4 1/2", 23 cm x 10 cm x 11.5 cm

As most of you know, tabi are the traditional, Japanese split-toe socks which are worn with footwear while outside or on their own inside the home.

This particular pair is lovely: the rust colored cotton shows a repeat pattern of cherry blossoms, the scale of the pattern is quite nice in relation to the size of each tabi.  This pair is machine stitched and shows wear both on the patterned surface as well as on the soles.

A charming pair of traditional footwear that are unusual in their choice of figured cotton.
