New@Sri: Buying Guidelines

Often when new items are listed on Wednesdays, there is a lot of traffic on the website and more than one person may try to buy the same item at the same time. 

This can cause some problems for the competing buyers.  

Please read some of this explanation, below:

PUTTING AN ITEM IN A SHOPPING BAG DOES NOT "HOLD" IT FOR YOU:

-If you put an item in your "shopping bag" this does not "hold the piece" for you nor does it guarantee you rights to the piece. 

-Several people can have the same item in their shopping bag at the same time.  The person who checks out successfully first is able to buy any particular piece.  Purchases are time stamped.

-The item becomes yours once you have paid for the piece and have received confirmation of such.

RELOAD YOUR BROWSER TO SEE THE CURRENT AVAILABILITY OF A PRODUCT:

-Please "refload" the site in your browser from time to time to check on the current availability of a product.  

-Product availability can change from moment to moment, especially when items are newly listed on Wednesdays.

-If you find you have trouble checking out, please do reload your browser to make sure someone has not just bought the item(s) you are attempting to buy.  Sometimes this is case, and we apologize.

-If you are having trouble checking out several items, again, please reload your browser as one of the several pieces you are trying to buy may have just been purchased by someone else, thus causing a snag in your check out process.

PAYPAL INTERFACE ISSUES:

-When new items are listed, and if you are on the site during a time of very heavy, competitive traffic, please know that if you are paying with Paypal, sometimes the Paypal payment interface is a bit slow in recording a sale and  automatically removing an item from inventory. 

-The item you are buying can still appear to be available as another client is paying for it.

-Therefore, at times two people have "bought" the same item due to Paypal's slow payment interface, so we must honor the person with the first recorded payment. Payments are time-stamped.   

-We apologize for this glitch, and we ask your understanding should this happen to you.

FIRST COME BASIS:

-Please note that when new items are posted, we must honor the first-come, first-serve rule: those that click through and purchase an item directly from the site as items are posted usually have the most luck in acquiring the piece. 

-We regret if you e mail a request to buy a piece and someone clicks through and buys it while you are waiting for an email response from us.

-Likewise, if you call or e mail us to buy a piece, we will first check to make sure no other client already has the same item in their shopping bag; if a client already does have the same item in their shopping bag, we must honor that order before others.

HOLD ON ITEMS:

-We cannot "hold" any New @ Sri items for clients during the week they are newly posted to the site.
