This is a lovely length of checked cotton cloth, which is said to have been taken from a futon cover that was made in the Taisho era (1912-1926).
The color palette is lovely: soft greens, deep blues, flinty white and subtle orange tones all combine to create a soothing and richly colored checked pattern.
A study in beautiful colors; in good condition.
