A Hand Stitched Zokin: Traditional Dust Rag

$18.00 USD

ca. mid twentieth century
9" x 14 1/4", 23 cm x 36 cm

zokin is a traditional Japanese dustrag which is hand stitched using repurporsed cloth.  Zokin were often made in groups, so very often you will find batches of similar types coming from one home.

This zokin is stitched from about two layers of cotton.  The faint, reddish cloth is stitched with thick, white thread in a concentric, geometric fashion.

A very handsome old traditional dustrag which certainly can be used in the home as an accessory.
