Here is a pair of slightly smaller-than-average zokin.

zokin is a traditional Japanese dust rag which is hand stitched using re-purporsed cloth.  Zokin were often made in groups, so very often you will find batches of similar types coming from one home.

Each of this pair zokin is stitched from about two layers of old cotton. 

The cloth used to make these zokin are a commercially produced ikat showing the arrow feather motif (top) and a plaid cotton. Both have been sashiko stitched in white thread. 

These are good looking old traditional dust rags which certainly can be used in the home as accessories.
