Two Small Silk Purses: Taisho or Early Showa Era

$30.00 USD

ca. mid twentieth century
each approximately: 3 1/4" x 6",  8.25 cm x 15 cm

These are two attractive little silk purses which seem to be made from some kind of Buddhist related silk cloth.  Each of the bags, which show wear, is fashioned like a little envelope, one of them having a horn or bone closure and the owner's personal information hand written on the flap of the purse.

Attractive, utilitarian, and lovely.
