This stiff mesh cloth is woven from bast fiber which is dyed in what undoubtedly is synthetic dye. The rich, searing green-blue color is mottled in tone as can easily be seen on the accompanying photos.
These two panels were part of a larger piece, a room-sized mosquito net. They are machine stitched together and there are two machine-applied patches to the bottom half of the right panel.
A very interesting pair of mosquito netting panels this one is notable for its uneven color and its charming repairs.
Delightful.
