In rare color combination of green, orange and light colored figured brocade silk. The border and column-dividing brocade silk show phoenixes amid paulownia flowers, the paulownia being the only earthly plant upon which the legendary phoenix will alight. The green corner stations and two central flanking ones show small gold dragons within a foliated form. Phoenix refers to 'feminine energy' while dragon is 'masculine energy.' Orange brocade silk shows arabesques and bird forms.
