An Unused Indigo Dyed Cotton Koshimaki: Kasuri Under Kimono
$45.00 USD
mid twentieth century
26" x 43", 66 cm x 109 cm
This two-panel piece of indigo dyed kasuri cotton is a koshimaki, a kind of half under-kimono. It is seemingly unused.
There is a good amount of kasuri cotton here and as the koshimaki is hand stitched, this piece could be easily taken apart to be re-used in creative ways.
There are two woolen ties, one on each side, each hand stitched to the base cloth.
The checked pattern is beautiful and this is a very attractive, good amount of indigo dyed, hand woven cotton kasuri cloth.
