An Undyed Length of Hemp Kaya: Mosquito Netting

This is a nice, long length of undyed hemp kaya or mosquito netting.

The hemp fibers are beautifully wiry in the hand and this piece seems to be not yet used, or, if it has been, it has been so very lightly.  This length retains a fine, stiff texture and a very good color.

Note the vertically woven stripes, six in all, that decorate this lovely piece of traditional Japanese hemp mosquito netting.

Really lovely.
