An Indigo Dyed Cotton Kasuri Jacket: Nice Patina

$125.00 USD

early twentieth century
32" x 46", 81.25 cm x 116.8 cm (shoulder to hem x sleeve tip to sleeve tip)

This is a simply constructed, completely hand stitched jacket which is sewn from handsome, hand woven indigo dyed kasuri cotton.

The cloth has softened from wear and bears a lovely surface patina--it might very well have been re-purposed from another garment. The cloth is of quite good quality.

There is a bit of snag to the lower collar area on the proper, right of the jacket but aside from its wear from age this is in nice, used, worn condition. It can still be worn if you think you will fit in it.

Simply done and straightforward in appearance this handsome jacket is made of good cloth and is well tailored.
