An Artfully Pieced Mini-Boro Cloth: Hand Stitched Cottons

This handsome square of old pieced cloth was probably a zokin or a traditional dust rag.

However the scraps of cloth used to create this small collage-like artwork are arranged so beautifully and in such a nicely tonal color palette that it this zokin appears to be more of artwork than a utilitarian textile.

The soft and faded colors are lovely and all the cloth is old.

A charming piece for use in the home and an inspiring one for designers or artists.
