Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.

This  handsome zokin is sewn from recycled, commercially produced cotton cloth, probably from a yukata or an unlined, casual kimono.  A complex grid of white sashiko stitching embellishes the zokin.
