This is a very large piece of contemporary shibori dyed cotton that is pictured here folded in half--the whole piece is too large to photograph intact.
It is a wide piece and the crowded pattern is composed of countless, small kumo or spiderwebs dyed in a brown color.
This is a tremendous resource for someone who is creative and would like to apply their creativity to using finely made, contemporary shibori.
The cotton cloth is commercially loomed and the dye is more than likely synthetic.
