This is a wonderfully generous length of rustic, green dyed hemp cloth. This is a panel from a kaya, or mosquito netting, hence the loose, open weave of the cloth.
The color is a nice, medium-toned green; the hemp yarns are supple wiry and have taken in the dye in a slightly uneven fashion, which adds to the country appeal of this length.
The special bonus about this length of old kaya is that the yarns are hand plied which is what you hope to see in old bast fiber cloth.
