A zokin is a traditional Japanese dustrag which is hand stitched using repurporsed cloth. Zokin were often made in groups, so very often you will find batches of similar types coming from one home.
This zokin is stitched from a piece of indigo dyed cotton itajime or clamp-dyed shibori which is a type of shibori that might be familiar to some of you. The zokin is of a good size.
A very attractive traditional dust rag with an unusual textile composition which certainly can be used in the home as an accessory.
