Zokin are traditional Japanese dust rags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.
This is a handsome, smallish zokin which is sewn from recycled synthetic (probably rayon) and cotton cloth which has been beautifully sashiko stitched in dark colored thread.
The stitching is beautifully executed and creates a beautiful texture. Just wonderful.
A very good looking zokin with a lovely composition and good color. Stains can be seen on one side.
