A Short Patched Boro Length: Hand Woven Natural Indigo Dyed Cotton
late nineteenth, early twentieth century
38" x 13", 96.5 cm x 33 cm
This is a beautifully straightforward length of indigo dyed cotton boro cloth, the cotton seemingly hand spun and certainly hand woven.
The length is by two layers thick and shows some wonderful, eccentric mending stitches at the top portion of the length as well as a lovely white patch which dominates the length.
A very nice old length of indigo dyed cotton, more than likely rescued from a futon cover.
