This is a lovely and bold little boro fragment, most likely a sleeve from an indigo dyed cotton boro noragi or work coat.
What is wonderful about it is a very large, patch which dominates the piece and which is made of fantastically good old, hand spun and hand woven botanically dyed indigo cotton. The base cloth is indigo dyed cotton woven in very narrow stripes.
Beautiful and rich in character.
