A Shaped Boro: Recycled Apron Fragment
ca. late nineteenth, early twentieth century
26" x 14", 66 cm x 35.5 cm
This lovely, boro cloth is a fragment which has been rescued from a cover-up or apron which is made from recycled, striped cottons which are heavily patched.
Details of the original apron are still intact, such as the tie and a pocket, which can be seen on the reverse side of this charming fragment.
Quite unusual, quite lovely.
