Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.

This is a handsome zokin which is sewn from recycled machine woven kasuri cotton cloth, probably about four layers in all.

The sashiko stitching covers the entire front and back surface of the zokin and is executed in a rustic manner and adds charm to this otherwise utilitarian cloth.

A very good looking zokin with lovely cotton base cloth.
