A Sakiori Obi: Berry Colors
ca. mid twentieth century
100" x 7 1/4", 254 cm x 18.5 cm
This beautifully rustic sakiori obi is woven from a shredded cotton and silk weft and a cotton warp, the warp being a contrast of white and purple cotton yarn, imparting an overall purple cast to this kimono sash.
The color is good, as is the condition: there is one, small, almost unnoticeable lentil-sized hole, but otherwise the obi is in very good shape.
Great texture and color.
