A Ragged Boro Zokin: Woven Stripes and Sashiko Stitching
$18.00 USD
ca. mid twentieth century
7 3/4" x 11", 19.5 cm x 33 cm
This is a very handsome boro zokin which is sewn from recycled cotton cloth of woven stripes, probably about four layers in all. The sashiko stitching, which covers the entire front and back surface of the zokin, is beautifully executed and adds charm to this otherwise utilitarian cloth.
