A Pieced, Patched Length of Figured Silk: Beautiful Translucency

$35.00 USD

early to mid twentieth century
56" x 12 1/2", 142 cm x 32 cm

This silk cloth is pieced and stitched to create a lovely, delicate web of angles and seams. The silk is of a slightly textured or crepe variety and the pattern on it is subtle and sage colored.

It looks particularly good when light streams through it as can be seen here. Back lighting activates the patches which otherwise are hard to see.

Slightly fragile and quite supple this length of boro silk has definite visual appeal.
