A Pieced Length of Striped Cottons: Patches and Two Types

$75.00 USD

late nineteenth, early twentieth century
75" x 14", 190.5 cm x 35.5 cm

This is a well-used length of patched cloth that is assembled from four hand-stitched pieces.

The piece on the bottom is different from the three above it and was taken from another bolt.

The boro cloth shows surface distress from years of use as well as some interesting patching and hand stitching. The handsome striped cotton is of good color and this is a length of generous size.

Simple and attractive this length would be beautiful if admired as artwork, if used as a home accessory or if worn as a scarf.
