A Loom Width-and-a-Half of Checked Cotton Cloth: Low Contrast Dark Indigo

$60.00 USD

early twentieth century
41" x 19 1/2", 104 cm x 49.5 cm

This is a wide piece of hand woven cotton: it is wide because it is hand stitched from one traditional loom width piece and another that is half as wide.

The pattern is that of a dark, low contrast, large-scale plaid in two tones of deeply dyed indigo. The result is beautifully subtle--and large-scale plaids are so nice to look at.

This one is in good, used condition with a bit of surface abrasion and a pit or two to the cloth, but otherwise it is good looking and so versatile in potential applications for home decor, fashion or display.
