A Long Piece of Hand Loomed Cotton: Black and Yellow Large Plaid
$55.00 USD
ca. early to mid twentieth century
128" x 13", 325 cm x 33 cm
This is an unusually long piece of good, old cotton, very tightly woven and still quite heavy and durable; most likely it was once part of a futon cover.
It is woven of black and gold yarns in a large, windowpane-like configuration. The quality overall is good, but used, and there is one small hole to the length which is shown in the accompany photographs.
A handsome, length of every day cotton from old Japan.
