A Long Length of Hemp or Ramie Cloth: Subtly Variegated Stripes

This is a generously sized length of warmly toned indigo dyed hemp or ramie cloth that has been woven in a striped pattern.

What is interesting about the stripe design is that at first it appears to be stripes of uniform widths.

Looking a bit closer we see the ingenuity of the weaver who purposefully varied the widths of the stripes in order to make a more visually appealing design.

The length is in good, used condition and is of good length and color.
