A Length of White Colored Hemp Kaya: Mosquito Netting

This is a very nice, long piece of hemp kaya or loosely woven mesh that was used as mosquito netting.

The color of the hemp yarns is an off-white; more than likely the hemp yarns were bleached before weaving. It seems the yarns are hand plied: certainly the weft yarns are joined by hand.

The length is in good condition save for some snags to the mesh which are detailed here in photographs.

A fairly unusual color tone for kaya this one has many applications and is of a good, long size.
