This is a length of indigo dyed kasuri cotton whose pattern is based on randomness in its warp.

The design or pattern appears almost as a textural field; as it has no repeat or basis for a standard design so we can revel in this unhinged, abstract non-repeat pattern.

An odd and beautiful fragment of old cotton this one is ripe to inspire design or to enjoy on its own.
