This is a wonderful length of rustic, indigo dyed hemp cloth. This is a panel from a kaya, or mosquito netting, hence the very loose, open weave of the cloth.
The length is undyed the hemp yarns are wiry, which adds to the country appeal of this length.
In looking at the accompanying photos, notice that the warp and weft yarns are a bit stiff and unruly: just wonderful to see.
A lovely length of old, rustic kaya.
