A Length of Rustic Mosquito Netting: Hemp or Ramie Yarns

This is a wonderful length of rustic, over dyed indigo hemp cloth--in order to achieve this lovely green tone on this piece the cloth was dyed first in indigo and then again in a yellow dye. 

This is a panel from a kaya or mosquito netting, hence the loose, open weave of the cloth.

The color is a beautiful, deep, rich, mossy green; the bast fiber yarns are rustic and wiry and have taken the indigo dye in a slightly uneven fashion, which adds to the country appeal of this length.

A lovely length of old kaya with a very good, rough texture.
