A Length of Pieced Cottons: Handwoven Stripes

$40.00 USD

ca. late nineteenth century
47" x 13", 119.5 cm x 33 cm

This is a lovely, subtle and shibui length of hand loomed cotton cloth.

The length is hand stitched of three pieces of cotton that is woven with a very narrow stripe which alternates grey and blue.

The cloth shows just the right amount of patina from wear to make it interesting, and the rustic hand of the cloth is soulful.

Really lovely and understated.
