This is a lovely length of old kaya or mosquito netting, attractive for its mottled medium-blue color and it fine, wiry hemp yarns which add a rich and subtle overall texture.
The length is hand stitched of a few separate pieces, and as is quite clear from the photos accompanying this post, the cloth is quite well-worn, it shows uneven dyeing and there are some snags and holes. All of these material "deficits" are what create the beauty in this piece, which is quite generous in length.
A textural beauty with wonderful color.
