A Length of Miura Shibori: Rich Blue on Blue Tones

This is a length of miura shibori which shows a dense field of all over dark blue dappling on a light indigo dyed blue ground.

This length of shibori dyed cotton was taken from a yukata, an unlined summer kimono, and because this cloth was once part of a garmen.

From a distance the hand spun, hand woven cotton cloth appears to have a slightly mottled, all over blueish tone, but upon closer inspection the dense pattern of hand tied spots can be seen.

A lovely length of traditional shibori dyed cotton which was dyed on lightweight, commercially loomed cotton, its tone on tone pattern is especially good.
