A Length of Itajime Dyed Cotton: Suggestion of Butterfly Shapes

This is a length of contemporary, unused indigo dyed cotton that was dyed in the itajime shibori method where the cloth is folded and clamped in order to produce designated patterns or effects.

This cloth shows a diagonally-oriented pattern where the resisted, white areas resemble a butterfly, charming to look at.
