A Length of Itajime Dyed Cotton: Flower Grid

This is a length of contemporary, unused indigo dyed cotton that was dyed in the itajime shibori method where the cloth is folded and clamped in order to produce designated patterns or effects.

This cloth shows an asymmetrical grid-based design where the points of intersection of the grid create a flower form.
