A Length of Indigo Dyed Kasuri Cotton: Spare, Minimal Design

This is a length of heavily woven, indigo dyed, rustic kasuri cotton that seems to have been very little used, if it was used at all.

The pattern is straightforward and bold, and it seems to be a variation on the traditional "hashtag" style motif known as well cover. The kasuri is blurred on the images which is one of the charms of rustic style kasuri: the simplicity of the design, too, makes it conjure a sense of rural origin.
