A Length of Indigo Dyed Cotton Shibori: All Over Tie Dye
$25.00 USD
mid to late twentieth century
55" x 13 1/2", 140 cm x 34.25 cm
This is a length of indigo dyed cottonĀ miura shibori which shows a dense field of clustered blue dappling. This length of shibori dyed cotton was taken from a yukata, an unlined summer kimono, and because this cloth was once part of a garment, it shows ingrained creases from wear.
From a distance the cloth appears to have a slightly mottled, medium-toned color, but upon closer inspection the fine pattern of spots can be seen.
A lovely length of traditional shibori dyed cotton.
