A Length of Hemp Mosquito Netting: Supple Hand and One Patch

This is a lovely, repaired panel of open weave hemp cloth which was taken from a kaya or mosquito netting hence the loose, open weave of the cloth.

The color is a beautiful, dull greenish tone; the hemp yarns are softened with age and the aged cloth of the panel is supple and flowing. 

As is plain to see there is a repair to the piece: there is a patch on the middle, left. TThere are some very faint stains which are barely noticeable and there is overall light fading.

A lovely panel from an old boro kaya with a good deal of character.
