A Length of Hand Spun Cotton Boro: Beautifully Rich Indigo Tone

$85.00 USD

late nineteenth, early twentieth century
35" x 13 1/4", 89 cm x 33.5 cm

The calling card of this beautifully subtle piece of layered, indigo dyed boro cloth is the hand spun, hand dyed cotton used to make it.

The indigo color is really rich and deep in tone; the surface use and the patina it has created beautifully shows off the hand spun cotton yarns.

Look closely at the detail photos as they attempt to convey the rustic beauty of this old, repurposed cotton. And in looking at the details you might find some hard-to-see mends, too.

A beautiful and subtle old boro fragment with excellent quality cotton cloth.

Really, really good.
