A Length of Gradient Plaid Cotton: Snags and Holes
$28.00 USD
early twentieth century
59" x 13", 150 cm x 33 cm
This is a beautiful length of old cotton which shows a plaid pattern constructed from fields of gradient stripes that intersect each other along the length.
The color is a deep, dull blue that reads dark grey or black and the white and yellow colored stripes are pale in tone against the light faded dark ground.
Along with the overall light fading the piece shows small, lentil sized defect to the surface, otherwise it is in used condition consistent with its age.
A wonderful length of traditional hand loomed cotton from old Japan.
