A Large Layered Zokin: Black and Blue
$18.00 USD
ca. mid twentieth century
13" x 12", 33 cm x 30.5 cm
This is a relatively heavy, layered zokin, or dustcloth, which has been assembled from old, discarded, commercially produced black cotton.
The zokin is hand stitched using black thread, wit the exception of the spare, white stitches that trace a spare, interesting contrasting line, especially noticeable on the back of the zokin. Note the indigo blue patch on the zokin's front.
The subtle play of blue-on-black is just wonderful.
A very good looking zokin.
