Zokin are traditional Japanese dustrags which are almost always made from layered and sashiko stitched scraps of cloth.
This is a very handsome zokin which is sewn from several types of recycled kasuri cotton cloth creating something of an unintended fabric collage.
The sashiko stitching is charming as is the casual placement of the cotton pieces.
A very good looking zokin.
