A Handwritten Ledger Book: Stamps and Original Cording

This is a very nice, old daifukucho, a hand bound, hand written book which could have originally been used for inventories, for accounting, for ledgers or as a record of loans.

This one is partially filled with pages of hand writing done in sumi or charcoal-based ink, however some of the pages are blank. Its two covers show hand written kanji or Chinese characters.

Each of the two covers is quite worn, one showing areas of loss from insects.

A good example of a traditional daifukucho, with its original, intact binding cord.
